THE BIG IDEA: In response to a request from His disciples about prayer, Jesus gave to them and to us the “model prayer” or the Pattern for Prayer to guide us in our prayer efforts.

Prayer is when we as children of God talk to our Heavenly Father and listen for His voice in response to our prayers, our actions, or to guide us in His divine direction.

THE BIG IDEA: Jesus has called His followers to a kingdom ethic that is counter-cultural.

THE BIG IDEA: Because God created marriage and defines marriage, only God can give guidance to what are permissible circumstances to divorce.

THE BIG IDEA: We must guard our heart and take necessary steps to avoid the sin of lust/adultery that leads to grave consequences.

THE BIG IDEA: When we operate with a Kingdom ethic we will pursue reconciliation with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

THE BIG IDEA: Jesus believed all of the Bible was authoritative and perfect and to be applied properly in the lives of all of His followers.
